Project Title:
Evaluation on Seed Propagation and Vegetative Propagation of Barringtonia lanceolata and Terminalia catappa for Restoration at Petagas, Putatan, Sabah, Malaysia.
Apart from being a full-time research student, I’m currently working as a research assistant at Faculty of Tropical Forestry in Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS). My research studies focus on native plant propagation, riparian vegetative restoration, and conservation that located at Petagas, Putatan, Sabah, Malaysia. Propagation and planting of native plants for habitat restoration is a multi-faceted process and decision in choosing the source distance of plant materials which cancontribute to achieve a success restoration goal. Selecting suitable propagation method is necessary to develop rescue and vegetative propagation of native tree species for silvicultural and environmental restoration purpose.
